"Be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behavior. You are beneath the thinker. You are the stillness beneath the mental noise. You are the love and joy beneath the pain."

 Eckhart Tolle

  • Guided imagery is a relaxation method that provides a safe place to shut off the outside world of rational logic and gain instant access to the unconscious…all without judgment. The imageries are spontaneous, and all information is valuable.

  • It is often presented with soothing music to achieve a light meditative state but it is not meditation.

  • It has been described as a type of "visualization," "mental imagery,” or “guided meditation,” but that is not a complete or accurate description of Guided Intrapersonal Imagery (IPI) which is offered at Creative Quiescence, LLC.

  • Guided IPI has been effective in facilitating healing in conditions of PTSD/trauma, chronic pain, chronic illness, fears, phobias, physical, emotional and spiritual issues.

  • Guided IPI involves all of the senses to access the messages or symbols from the mind, body and spirit so you can understand the meaning of various experiences in your life and increase insight, self-awareness and self-compassion.

  • Guided IPI facilitates contact with the spiritual dimensions of the true inner self and its connection with the Divine Power of Universal Truth, creating enlightenment, empowerment, strength and courage.

  • Feelings reflect the soul, alerting the intellect of the issues. The job of the intellect is to interpret, understand and decide how to appropriately react. When these two aspects of self are in harmony, balanced, and openly communicating, effective functioning is possible.

  • The body provides signs to communicate its needs—pain, fatigue, illness. Ignoring these signs causes the body to become unbalanced and the immune system less efficient. The body tries to compensate to maintain a sense of order. The positive feelings you experience during your imagery experience can generate the release of chemicals throughout your body, boosting your immune system and facilitate emotional and physical healing.

  • Additionally, when there are unresolved issues, the tendency is to externalize them within a relationship and try to change others to fulfill your internal needs although this is not really possible. Guided IPI can help change perceptions and beliefs that have crippled you and reconcile internal conflicts that externalize into outside relationships.

  • Guided Imagery can be experienced one-on-one with the therapist or in a group setting which allows an opportunity to learn from others and provide your own insights.

You can experience the powerful healing of guided imagery by scheduling an appointment or attending a workshop.
